Their site features detailed charter types (inshore, nearshore, tarpon, fly fishing, shark fishing), rates, fishing reports, guide profiles, and booking functionality.

Our objective was to redesign and optimize their web presence to better attract charter clients, improve usability, and reflect the high-end, trustworthy brand they offer on water.

CHALLENGE

The existing site needed a stronger visual and functional revamp to match the quality of the service (i.e., premium fishing experience).

Navigation was complex many charter types, areas, and species details made it hard for users to find what they wanted quickly.

Content (fishing reports, guide bios, species information) wasn’t organized in a way that encouraged engagement or booking conversion.

Mobile experience and performance needed improvement for on the go users.

Redesigned the site architecture to group charters by type (inshore, nearshore, fly, tarpon, etc.) and by region to simplify navigation.

Created visually compelling pages using high quality imagery of fishing, boats, coastal landscapes, and species.

Built dedicated sections for Fishing Reports, Meet the Guides, Species & Areas, each with proper internal linking and SEO structure.

Ensured the site is fully responsive, optimized for speed, and efficient across all devices.

Added trust building elements like guide credentials, testimonials, captain bios, and clear contact / booking calls to action.

We began by crafting a design vision that reflects the premium and adventurous nature of Carolina Guide Service. Our strategy emphasized immersive visuals scenic water, fishing action, and guide moments to emotionally engage visitors and support the brand’s identity as a high-end charter service.

Given the variety of charter types (inshore, nearshore, fly, tarpon, etc.), geographic fishing zones, and species pages, we mapped complex user journeys. We created simplified flows so visitors could quickly find the charter type or region they’re interested in, reducing friction and making booking intent more seamless.

We designed a visually striking website with high quality imagery, strong hero sections, and clear sections for charters, guides, fishing reports, and species content. Every page was built to be responsive, ensuring optimal experience on phones, tablets, and desktops, so guests can browse and book on the go.

To guide content and positioning, we researched the region’s charter market (coastal SC), competitor offerings, keyword trends (e.g. “South Carolina fishing charters,” “tarpon charters SC”), and customer expectations. Insights from that analysis shaped which charter services to highlight, which species pages to create, and how to structure seasonal content.

Throughout the project, we held regular strategy sessions with the client to align on priorities such as which charter types to promote, which areas to feature, tone of voice, and content direction. This ensured that the final site remained true to their brand and goals.
